I grew up in a family garage business and careers have a licensed mechanic for 25 years. I left the store not long and looked back again! When I am in the business, we have arranged things! We not only replace parts! I used the carburetors and alternators newly apart to change the repair technicians in the bridge ... We were really cars. I even (horror Uses!) To rebuild the engine again!
Unfortunately, the business has changed. If you are willing to sell parts, and many of them live a dignified life in the trade, but certainly not what it once was. When I finished my last year of the Business School, over 50% of students who were there, which is devoted to trade, and ends because of the enormous investment of time and money to get there.
With few exceptions, most mechanics do not have pensions from their employer, if you can better plan to invest in RRSPs or many other things. You have to buy their own tools to provide not only ... Noa wheelbarrow full of money there! When you reach retirement, your hands will be screwed back arthritic and sore, his lungs are full of garbage. Sorry! Am I the impression that they would do it again if given the chance? Believe me, I do not have!
It is a profession that is to die for the people from starvation good ... It is a shame, they will be rewarded accordingly.
