The Posadas means "inn" or "protection" in Spanish. A social and religious festival, which lasts over nine nights December 16 to 24, the feast as Las Posadas known, commemorates the journey of Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem, and seek protection before the birth of Christ. Las Posadas is a presentation of this difficult journey. It is an elaborate preparation for Christmas (Christmas) in Mexico and some Central American countries.
